Today ILOG has announced the release of Transportation Analyst 2.0.

Transportation Analyst is an exciting new product to help companies make better strategic transportation decisions. TA can help with such such questions as deciding the proper size of a private fleet, designing dedicated multi-stop routes, allocating shipments to private fleet, commercial TL, and LTL, how to best take advantage of hubs, and how to combine forward and reverse shipments. In addition, TA will allow companies to model the carbon footprint of their transportation network so that they can have a more complete view of their environmental impact as well as their costs and service.

Transportation Analyst is aimed at supply chain and logistics professionals. Therefore, TA is designed with tight integration with excel and access, easy data managment and navigation, and scenario management so creating models to ask business questions is easy and stratightforward. In addition, out of the box reporting, mapping, and Gantt charts allow you to quickly analyze solutions to gain insight into the problems you are trying to solve.
