Noteworthy Keynotes
Friday, February 22nd, 2008
Someone in the DIALOG team pointed out that I had not yet blogged about Allen Fahden. It seems that this is one keynote presentation that you really should not miss!
Allen’s groundbreaking books Innovation on Demand and Is Half the World Crazy? have apparently provided inspiration and insight to readers everywhere. The thing is, the only time I ever seem to get to read these days is when I’m traveling and temporarily disconnected from my life support machine the Internet. That probably explains why I’m not familiar with either of Allen’s books.
Judging by the intriguing summary of Allen’s talk, described as “an engaging romp through innovation’s black holes and how to avoid them,” together with the glowing review that I heard yesterday from someone who’s already seen him perform, I should probably rush out right now and try to get hold of a copy of his books. Though my flight from San Francisco to Palm Springs is only supposed to last an hour, a severe weather advisory has just been issued for tomorrow afternoon, so if my flight’s delayed I might get chance to read a few extra chapters… (every cloud has a silver lining!)
Check the event website for a list of the other must-see keynote presentations on offer at DIALOG 08. Weather permitting, I’ll see you there!
