When I was asked to blog DIALOG 08, I jumped at the chance. Who wouldn’t? The opportunity to talk with top industry experts, analysts, executives, tech trend writers …? The chance to discover (and write about) how ILOG products are being applied in the real world? The chance to escape the dreary winter skies of Paris for three days in Palm Springs and become the envy of my colleagues? Sign me up!

DIALOG 08, which will take place at the Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa in Palm Springs on February 24-26, is the first major ILOG event to have its own dedicated blog and I am pleased to be your host for what I hope will be the first of many such initiatives. I can’t see myself finding much time to lounge around the pool or take in the local sights, though. I’ll be too busy trying to beg, bully, and bribe as many passing experts, end users and ILOGers as I can to contribute to making this both a useful and fun resource for conference delegates and those less fortunate than myself who could not attend.

If things go well, maybe I’ll get invited back again next year
